Programme

Day 1: Classical city of Weimar

The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 2: Weimar - Goethe House - Prince's Crypt

In addition to the places where Goethe and Schiller worked, the tour of the old town takes in Weimar's most important sights such as the market square, city palace, theatre square, Schiller's and Goethe's residence, the Duchess Anna Amalia Library and the Fürstenhaus. You will then visit the Goethe National Museum with Goethe's residence as part of a one-hour guided tour.

Day 3: Buchenwald Memorial

Today you will learn about the history of the Buchenwald concentration camp, one of the largest concentration camps on German soil. The overview tour includes an introductory film and a visit to the permanent exhibition, for which you should plan at least 3 hours.

Day 4: BAUHAUS Museum

Weimar is the founding site of the Staatliches Bauhaus, the famous design school of the 20th century with a worldwide reputation. An exciting visit to the BAUHAUS Museum awaits you.

Day 5: Journey home
